Industry Chairperson, Charles Apicella has been in the mail industry for 35 years and has been active in PCCs in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. He is Manager of Mail and Distribution Services for Umass Amherst where he has been employed for 11 years. Charles is an active member in the regional and national chapters of the Association of College and University Mail Services as well as a past board member and former Education Chairperson. Postal Chairperson Philip Fortin has been with the United States Postal Service for 30 years. He started his career at the Worcester Post Office as an Letter Sorting Machine Clerk and then became a Supervisor at the Worcester, MA Office. In 1991, Phil moved to the Central Massachusetts Processing Distribution Center and since then has held various management positions in several offices including South Bridge, Fiskdale, Ware, West Brookfield, Charlton, Spencer, Holden, and Northampton before taking the helm in Amherst. Phil has been married for 31 years and has one son.

Dow Jones & Co., Inc., Chicopee, MA
Ginette Gomez, co-chair of Postal Customer Council (PCC) of Western Massachusetts Industry, has been a PCC board member for more than 20 years. She works as a Postal Administrator at Dow Jones in the Support and Delivery Operations Group, which requires her to maintain close ties to the United States Postal Service. Ginette has attended many local and national postal forums, focus groups, seminars, and is very active as an industry and postal advocate.
Wendell Pennell, Owner
PIP Printing, South Hadley, MA
Wendell Pennell is the owner of a local printing and marketing company that has been serving Western Massachusetts and Connecticut since 1985. He was one of the first printers to venture into direct mail and paved the way, serving on the Marketing Advisory Board for PIP Printing for nine years and bringing his company into the Top 25 for 16 years running. Wendell joined the Western Mass PCC in 1996, served as the past Industry Chairperson and today continues to work closely with the United States Postal Service and other member of the Postal Industry. Wendell's primary focus through the years has been dealing with fundraising and advertising, with a specific focus on direct mail.
Postmaster, Beckett, MA, United States Postal Service
Jonathan Paul began his postal career in 2005 as a part-time flex letter carrier in Milford, Mass., Northhampton, and eventually became a regular carrier in Westfield, Mass. In 2016, he was promoted to Supervisor, Customer Service in Amherst and has been the Officer in Charge there since January, 2017. Jonathan is also a portait artist with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. He resides with his wife and two sons and maintains a portrait studio in Westfield, Mass. Jonathan was elected to the position of Secretary with the Western Massachusetts Postal Customer Council (WMPCC) in January, 2018.
Western New England University, Springfield, MA
Arlene has been employed at Western New England University for more than 15 years and the Director of Administrative Services since 2006. In this capacity, she oversees mail and print services, procurement, the campus bookstore, food services, and special assignments requested by the President of the College. Arlene has been a board member with the Western Mass PCC since 2008 and has served as Treasurer with the National Association of Education Procurement for the New England region since 2003.
